We are currently recruiting for Phase 1 of the By Your Side Study!
Phase 1 consists of one-time interviews with you and your supporter. We will interview you separately at different times.
Why is Phase 1 being done?
We would like to learn more about smoking as it relates to stress, coping, and identity affirmation. We would also like to learn how people can feel most supported in quitting. Lastly, we would like to learn how you feel about including supporters and Lay Health Workers (LWH) in your cessation.
Where will Phase 1 of this study happen?
Interviews will be held over Zoom over the phone given current COVID-19 restrictions.
What will happen if I take part in Phase 1 of this study?
You will participate in an interview. We will ask you about your smoking history and what you believe will help you quit smoking.
How long will Phase 1 take?
The individual interviews will take about 1 hour.
What will I be paid for participating in Phase 1 of the study?
In return for your time and effort, you will be paid $30. Your supporter will also be paid $30.
